From April 4th to 7th, at the Softee Sports Training facility at Jim Sports, we took on an epic challenge: covering the 742.6 km of the Camino de Santiago non-stop… on a treadmill.
To mark World Physical Activity Day (April 6th) and World Health Day (April 7th), we organized the Non-Stop Challenge, an initiative that brought sport and community together under a single motto: never stop moving forward.
For 80 consecutive hours, the treadmill remained in operation day and night, without being switched off for a single second. More than 80 people took turns in relays to cover the distance between Roncesvalles and Santiago. Employees, customers, friends and people from outside the gym joined in, showing that passion for sport knows no limits. Every step counted. Some ran, others walked, but everyone pushed towards the finish line. The atmosphere was unbeatable: music, constant support, positive energy and a strong desire to make history together. And we did it. We completed the 742.6 km in just 3 days, with one day to spare before the planned 80-hour limit. In addition, the event could be followed live through a 24/7 livestream, allowing many more people to experience it in real time, from anywhere. This challenge not only tested the participants’ physical abilities, but also their commitment, teamwork and determination to overcome obstacles.
At Jim Sports, we believe that sport is health, but it is also effort, inspiration and community. That is why this initiative fills us with pride and reinforces our values.
Thank you to everyone who made it possible.
